Log Line

When Max, a junkyard dog, breaks his leg, his owner Joey decides to get Max some help. Joey and Max go to the local dog pound and visit all the candidates (priceless) and after several  hilarious “wannabe” guard dog trials they find Sadie, a Black Lab mix. But unknown to Joey and Max, Sadie is a runaway and a wanted dog. When Sadie is nabbed mysteriously, it’s up to Max to chew off his cast and embark on an amazing adventure to save her. 

Synopsis

When Max, a junkyard dog, breaks his leg while on guard duty, his owner Joey (65) decides to get a guard dog from the local dog pound in Brooklyn, NY.  After hilarious tours of all the dogs in the pound and several failed attempts, they find Sadie, a Black Lab mix. Soon after, love blossoms for Max and Sadie. But unknown to Joey and Max, Sadie is a runaway and a wanted dog. After Sadie is nabbed by shady characters and disappears from the junkyard, Max is forced to chew off his cast and escape the junkyard. Max knows he is the only one who can save her as he hits the road in hot pursuit. Max follows the bad guys to a motel and manages to bring the Fire Department and Police to help him save the day. Max and Sadie become national heroes and the reward money comes in handy for Joey’s retirement to Florida with the dogs and his favorite mail lady.
